Work capacity is the engine that lets an athlete bring full strength and full speed to the *last* effort of a long day, not just the first. For a position player grinding through a doubleheader, that engine is the difference between a sharp seventh inning and a sloppy one. What work capacity actually is
Work capacity is your ability to do quality work, recover, and do it again - across a set, a practice, a game, a season. It's the base that more intense training is built on. Age-appropriateness
Because the circuit is controlled-tempo bodyweight and light movement, it suits a wide range - roughly 12U and up - with the only high-intensity piece being the well-warmed-up sprint finisher. Younger athletes can run fewer rounds, keep loads light, and emphasize clean movement; the sprint finisher should be scaled or skipped for the youngest players in favor of relaxed build-up runs.
