Machine Two-Speed Gear-Change Pitch-ID Drill
An operator secretly switches a pitching machine (or front-toss feeder) between a fast gear and a slow gear pitch to pitch, and the hitter must identify the speed and call it out before the ball crosses a commit line 15 feet out front.
⏱ ~20 min📋 3-4 rounds of 10 pitches (30-40 total); operator randomly mixes the fast and slow gears; score a rep clean only when the pitch-type call is correct AND made before the ball crosses the commit line; chart clean reps out of total

- Pitching machine with adjustable speed (two-wheel preferred)
- L-screen or protective net (for the front-toss version)
- Cone or floor tape for the commit line
