Over-the-Tee Long-Arm Outfield Throwing-Velo Drill: Add MPH by Fixing a Short Arm Path
A batting tee set as a gate beside the throwing shoulder forces outfielders out of the short, arm-only "shot-put" path and into a full, long arm action with a clean high slot — unlocking arm speed and radar-verified outfield throwing velocity.
⏱ ~25 min📋 1 baseline set of 3-5 throws, then 2-3 constrained sets of 6-8 crow-hop throws over the tee with full rest between reps, finishing with 4-6 free transfer throws.
What you'll need
- Batting tee (adjustable height)
- Radar unit (pocket radar, Rapsodo, or stadium gun)
- Bucket of baseballs or 12-inch softballs
- Throwing partner, net, or backstop target
- Resistance band / surgical tubing (arm care)
